Practical informations

The English-inspired garden combines the flexibility of the forms and generosity of the plantations: this is what gives it its personality.
Here, nature is cultivated at the same time with fantasy and rigour. Massifs, all round, embrace the configuration of the terrain. The plants are nested in such a way as to take turns, either by foliage or by the blazing of their flowering.
Each massif is treated as a garden in its own right, with a specific theme and plant associations. The effects of prospects are ensured by the staging of plantations. The design of Les Jardins des Renaudies has left an important place for collector plants.

From mid-April to the end of May, the multitude of azaleas and rhododendrons offer a real spectacle alone. At the entrance to the gardens, camellias, also planted in natural hedges, are admired from the beginning of April.

In the midst of the colourful paintings of Les Jardins des Renaudies, stands the wheel. This is certainly one of the highlights of the garden. The little wash house and the “English” door accompany the wheel on this journey. The water continues on its way to the basin.

A specialty of English-style gardens, mixed borders are also present at Les Jardins des Renaudies .
The floral park has more than 500 perennials, 133 varieties of roses, 50 varieties of hostas…

But also a ephemeral labyrinth, animations, an ecomuseum...

Pumpkin festival in the Gardens: children also enjoy the botanical walk because they can roll in the grass and enjoy the 1.5 km corn maze in season.

Les Jardins des Renaudies also exhibits a private collection in ancient country stone buildings. It is also a place for temporary and permanent exhibitions where painters and sculptors find a source of inspiration.

Many activities are organized to approach the Gardens differently.
You will discover the Japanese floral art Ikebana (Mr. Vrignaud, great master Ikebana, trained in Japan, comes from Paris), the plants through the spring market, the extraction of honey (with A. Bigot, producer-harvester), pumpkins grown in the garden and giving the opportunity for a great celebration… Local producers are also present at several events to sample their products.
