 Located in the upper town, the Fougères area Tourist Office is an unincorporated association (Association Law of 1901), founded in 1913, and which is a member of the National, Regional and Departmental Federations of Tourist Offices. 

 

 The Tourist Office has received from the Urban District Community, a "Délégation de Services Publics" (all the contracts by which a moral person of public law entrust the management of public services of which it has the responsability to a public or private delegation) for its welcome, information and promotion missions.  

                        

 With its 3 stars classification system, it welcomes 35.000 visitors per year.

 4 multilingual receptionists will be listening to you so as to make discover the region all year long. 

 The Tourist Office team is strengthened during the summer season in order to satisfy you.

 The Tourist Office which is located at 2, rue Nationale is opened:

 

              *from November to Easter

         Monday: 2pm to 6pm

         Tuesday to Saturday: 10am to 12.30am & 2pm to 6pm

                                                                                                             

              *from Easter to October

         Monday to Saturday: 9.30am to 12.30am & 2pm to 6pm

 

             *from mid-June to mid-September:

         Monday to Saturday: 9.30am to 6pm

         Sunday: 2pm to 6pm

 

            *July and August:

        Monday to Saturday: 9am to 7pm

        Sundays and public holidays: 10am to 12am & 2pm to 6pm.

In order to offer a service and an efficient welcome to the customers which frequent the tourist office or contact us, we commit ourselves since 2006 to respect the Service Quality Survey proposed by the Regional Federation of Tourist Offices in Brittany.

-inform precisely and completely about the services proposed in the region or about local touristic activities

-have impeccable work clothes and an irreproachable behaviour

-permanently improve the reception service by the means of quality guides which are set up

-a local literature: plan, practical guide (accommodation, catering, leisure, shops, events...), leisure guide available in French and English

-an organized tour guide available in English, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Japonese 

and

-a departmental, regional and national literature

-information about sport, cultural associations...

-local weather forecasts for several days

-local and departmental transports

-events

-the sale of different articles (posters, books, souvenir medal, hiking and road cards, souvenirs...)

 

 

Tourism and Handicap

The Tourist Office launched a procedure of Handicap Tourism Labellisation.  

As the Tourist Office is always concerned by improving the services offered, it counts on quality of reception for the disabled putting at their disposal different equipments and supports: 

 

-a magnetic sound amplifier at the disposal of the partially deaf

 

-an approach ramp and equipments adapted to people with reduced mobility

 

-an adapted literature, in large print and in braille

 

-a staff training so as to better welcome people who have a handicap
